UM Library presents new e-books collection on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

11 Jan 2022

One of the core values of Maastricht University is to be an open and accessible academic community. Therefore, the University Library is proud to share its new collection on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) of IGI Global.

More about the collection

The e-book package of IGI Global regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion gives everyone in the UM community unlimited and continuous access to more than 340 e-books. The collection covers topics such as accessibility, gender and identity, culture and race, religion, human resources, and civic engagement, and provides an essential resource for researchers studying how to enhance an institution’s DEI efforts. We are convinced that creating more awareness will support Maastricht University’s core values on diversity and inclusion, sustainability, mutual respect, integrity, democratic principles and transparency which are also the foundation of UM’s Strategic Programme 2022-2026.

The collection includes titles from 2006 through 2022, the majority of which is published in 2021. With several titles set to release soon, the University Library is guaranteed to offer the latest content in the above areas. Also worth knowing: 40% of the works from this publisher is from scholars from non-Western countries.

You can browse the complete title list (incorporating future titles and a handy excel overview) or search for
individual titles with LibSearch, the discovery tool of the library.

Shared ambition in offering inclusive education

With this DEI collection, the University Library provides an e-book collection that will support teaching, learning, and research on issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion across the curriculum.
