We are happy to announce the go-live of the Maastricht Data Repository, the next-generation web interface for DataHub. Besides a refreshed look and feel we can offer an improved user experience. Preserving and accessing research data stored at DataHub becomes even more intuitive.

The Maastricht Data Repository is replacing the RDM portal, used by researchers to work with their data stored at DataHub. The DataHub RDM portal was developed in 2015 in the now outdated Drupal framework. We have completely rebuilt the existing RDM portal functionalities using the Django web framework. By using Django, we can offer our users a modern look and feel and a fresh experience. The Maastricht Data Repository is ready for the future. We have built a robust baseline, on which we can extend upon stakeholders’ requests. With the go-live of the Maastricht Data Repository, the RDM portal ceases to exist and will no longer be accessible. As from now on please use the Maastricht Data Repository.

Cross-institutional collaboration and secure access to data stored at DataHub
The Maastricht Data Repository is your starting point for using DataHub’s storage facilities. DataHub provides several types of storage technologies, tailored to your needs and budget. All research data stored in the Maastricht Data Repository automatically get a persistent handle.net identifier (similar to DOI). The Maastricht Data Repository is securely opened up for collaboration with external parties via SURF Research Access Management (SRAM). SRAM enables collaboration with academic users worldwide and gives research collaborations fast, easy, and secure access to data stored at DataHub.
