When accessible
Immediately upon publication – no embargo.

APC costs can be claimed from the grant budget during the project period, but only for Gold OA journals or platforms (no hybrid journals).

Yes

Yes, for peer-reviewed books with an academic readership.
When accessible
Preferably immediately, but an embargo of up to 12 months is accepted.

SHERPA Juliet

Open Research Europe (ORE)
Authors involved in H2020 and Horizon Europe projects can publish their results open access for free on the European Commission’s publishing platform Open Research Europe (ORE).
Plan S
Plan S is an initiative by cOAlition S, an international consortium of research funding organisations, including the Dutch national funding organizations NWO and ZonMw.
Plan S aims to strengthen funding organisations’ open access mandates. The policy is in effect from January 2021.
