In the Inner City Library and Randwyck Library there are bookable and non bookable study places. Visit the locations pages which offer floor plans so you can get an overview of the types of study places and rooms on each location. Here, you can also book a study place or room.

UM Students

You can reserve rooms in your own faculty or at other faculties. At the Tapijn Loods V Learning Spaces two rooms, each seating five, can be reserved. In the Inner City Library you can also reserve the DIY Video Studio and the Podcast Studio. A DIY Podcast Studio is also available in the Randwyck Library. You find non bookable group rooms on the third floor in Randwyck Library.

AVMU students

You can reserve super focus study places in the Randwyck Library. Additionally. there are non bookable group rooms on the third floor, equipped with movable furniture and white boards. Here, you can adjust the space to your needs.

Staff members

Only library- and faculty staff are allowed to make a reservation for a computer room. These reservations may only be made for educational purposes, requiring the use of computer facilities.

Staff members can also book the DIY video studio or the Makerspace in the Inner City Library.

Reserve Inner City Library computer rooms

The number of computer rooms in the Inner City library is limited. Only library and (inner city) faculty staff are allowed to make a reservation, for educational purposes to UM students only.

How do you cancel the reservation Please cancel the reservation if you are not going to use the room by sending an email to the Education Office of your faculty and to reservations-ub@maastrichtuniversity.nl

  • A tutor or supervisor must always be present throughout the session. The name of this attendant must be stated when making the reservation
  • All participants must have a valid UM login account
  • If a reserved room is not occupied within 30 minutes after the beginning of the reservation period, the room will be made available to regular library visitors

  • A member of our desk staff will prepare the room beforehand. Before using the room, the lecturer concerned should report to the desk, where he/she can ask for instruction aids (e.g. a microphone)

Reserve a DIY Studio

If you want to book the DIY Video Studio or the DIY Podcast Studio in the Inner City Library or Randwyck Library, go to their web pages to find more information about how to book and use the Studio. Upon your reservation, you will receive information about how to come prepared to make your recording session as efficient as possible. On the day of the shoot, you can collect the key for the studio at the information desk. The concept of the studio’s is “plug-and-play”, but upon request, support will be available. You can find instruction material for recording, editing and storing the video/podcast on the website and in the studio.

Reserve Makerspace Inner City Library

The Makerspace is a unique, collaborative learning space in the Inner City Library. It is a multipurpose flexible space for students and staff to study, join or organise workshops and tutorials and collaborate on projects, generate ideas and content, and develop 21st-century labour market skills.
